Is There An Audi Model Without Mirrors?

If there is one exterior object that every vehicle has, it's traditional side mirrors. Some come heated, some are designed to automatically fold and unfold, and some include signals on the outside, but they are all relatively the same sized mirrors.

There is one vehicle that's breaking the traditional mirror mold: the Audi e-tron!

Are There No Mirrors In The Audi E-Tron?

As the Audi brand's first electric SUV, the Audi e-tron has broken through many barriers, including the traditional side mirror. Instead of side mirrors, drivers will find seven-inch OLED displays above the door handles. Camera mirrors are placed on the outside and are wedge-like in shape. This adds a unique dynamic to any drive.

Unfortunately, the United States won't see this technologically advanced side "mirror" because of the current laws in the U.S. According to Motor Authority, "An Audi spokesperson told Motor Authority in a June report that 'the digital mirrors are not able to be homologated for the U.S. given the current laws at this time.'"
